Welcome to Space to Talk, a non-judgemental private counselling service based in Eastleigh, Hampshire. Working with both adults and young people, over 11.

THE COUNSELLING PROCESS

Are you feeling stuck or struggling to work through a current issue or make sense of something? Counselling offers you a space to talk and work through whatever you are going through.

Sessions with Space to Talk are run from a purpose built counselling room in my garden in Eastleigh, Hampshire. Allowing for privacy and comfort in a relaxed setting. I offer a confidential and non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings safely.

Gestalt counselling can help you to focus on the here and now; giving you the time to explore current issues and increase your self-awareness. This style of humanistic counselling offers a client-centred approach and can be quite creative, where appropriate, allowing you to use props to help with visualisation. This can be really helpful when experiencing emotional blockages or a feeling of being stuck.

Sessions last 50 minutes, unless a longer or shorter session has been discussed. I recommend that sessions are weekly to allow for consistency and can be face-to-face or online to suit your situation. The counselling process has no time limit and with that in mind, I offer open ended counselling over as many sessions as needed.

All sessions are charged at £60, sessions can be block booked, 4 weeks in advance, for a £20 discount if paying full fee.

A discount is available for trainee counsellors and I have a couple of concessionary spaces available.

About Me

In 2015, I began my journey to be a counsellor after realising that I wanted a career that offered people a space to be really seen and heard. Since completing my Diploma in Humanistic Gestalt Counselling in 2018 I have worked with both adults and young people on an individual basis.

I love working as a Gestalt counsellor as I find this style so versatile, allowing a real breadth of opportunity for self-exploration. The humanistic style focuses on the belief that we all have the ability to learn, grow and develop. Exploring our patterns and core beliefs, raises self-awareness and  allows for both the opportunity of change and acceptance.

For me, being a therapist is about meeting you where you, being allowed a window into your world and holding space so you can tell your story.

Before we begin working together, I offer a brief discovery call, followed by a no obligation introductory assessment session, if you wish to go ahead. This allows us to begin getting to know each other and gives you the opportunity to check things out before we move forward.

TESTIMONIALS

"I've been seeing Lucy for over a year and cannot recommend her services highly enough. Our sessions have really helped me unpick so many uncomfortable feelings that have caused me stress for years - we discuss so much more that what I originally sought help for. I don't know how I would have got through the last year without our weekly sessions. I cannot even begin to describe how kind, understanding and helpful Lucy is. She really knows how to listen and ask the right questions to help me find a place of calm when everything feels fraught, and we are slowly working through my worries that effect my daily life. It's such a relief that I have this space in my week".

"Caring, safe space to explore and discuss your feelings. I've found it immensely helpful. I would highly recommend".

"As someone who finds it very hard to ask for help or admit when I am struggling, taking a big step to get some help was very daunting but I knew after many months of feeling invisible, confused, angry and completely out of control of my emotions, that I needed to take the step. I was lucky enough to find a wonderful Counsellor in Lucy, at Space to Talk. Her calm, considerate and though provoking style works so well, she makes you feel so comfortable and allows you to open up in safe environment. I really can't thank her enough".
